The Zocalo is a huge square right in the center of Mexico City.Sometimes you can see there some performers dressed as Aztec warriors and reenacting ancient dances for the tourists.
Way up in the North of Mexico City,right in the limit where Insurgentes avenue becomes a highway connected with the city of Pachuca,there are a subway terminal and a couple of bronze statues in honor of Aztec kings Itzcoatl and Ahuizotl.With the years,the bronze of the statues have become greenish and so people call them Indios Verdes (the Green Indians).Since then,that zone has also become known as Indios Verdes as well.
And then in this cartoon,we've got Green Lantern and Green Arrow dressed as Aztec indians.And of course,the skin of both Hulk and Martian Manhunter is green.It's a very silly pun,I know,but a funny one too,when you're a Mexican.

El Zócalo es una enorme plaza en el mero centro de la Ciudad de México.A veces es posible ver ahí a danzantes vestidos como guerreros aztecas y recreando bailes antiguos para los turistas.
En el extremo norte de la Ciudad de México,justo en el límite donde avenida Insurgentes se convierte en una carretera conectada con la ciudad de Pachuca,hay una terminal del metro y un par de estatuas en honor de los reyes aztecas Itzcoatl y Ahuizotl.Con los años,el bronce de las estatuas se ha vuelto verdoso y por eso la gente las llama los Indios Verdes.Desde entonces,esa zona también se ha vuelto conocida como Indios Verdes.
Y luego,en este cartón tenemos a Green Lantern y Green Arrow,cuyos trajes son verdes,vestidos de indios aztecas.Y por supuesto,la piel de Hulk y la de Martian Manhunter son verdes.Es una ironía muy boba,ya sé,pero también una muy divertida,si se es mexicano.
